Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?

Oak Mountain is located in a place where everyone embraces the outdoors. It's setting is remarkable; with a combination of the Adirondack Mountains, gorgeous views and amazing lakes. Family owned and operated since 1948, this Adirondack gem lends itself to some rich history and the young owners have added a a highly acclaimed dining menu. 2018 marks our fifth year hosting weddings. Each year varies with how many weddings we hold per year, but the record so far was 24 from June- October.

Why should a couple consider your venue over other venues?

I like to say our wedding venue is pretty unique, imagine exchanging your vows at the top of a magnificent mountain. We offer one wedding a day and elegance above the rest with panoramic views overlooking a beautiful valley. In the distance, the Adirondack Mountains lend a breathtaking backdrop for the wedding of their dreams. We have a top notch wedding crew that embellishes an Adirondack hospitality- where we welcome you into our home. Our executitve chef, Lou Petrozza and team carefully create the perfect menu using their 46 years combined experience and formal training.

What’s the first thing couples usually ask when they come and see you?

When a couple first comes to see us, their first question is usually , "Wow, this is beautiful- why have we never been here before?"

What size functions can you hold/host?

We are one of the largest venues in Hamilton county, with enough room to hold up to 280 guests.

Can couples bring in their own caterer? What about alcohol?

We have our own full in house catering kitchen and all liquor licenses necessary for your special event.

Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

Yes, the mountain top ceremony is absolutely spectacular.

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?

Yes, our ballroom design lends itself to our couples's unique touch and decorating ideas.

If your venue is outdoors is there a backup space in case of rain?

Absolutely, we do use the ballroom as the alternative plan for inclement weather.

Could you give our readers some indication of the range of prices for hiring your venue?

The pricing ranges based on numbers of guests, day of the week, season and package choice; however we are known all over the north east for being an exceptional value.

How early do couples need to book you?

I usually recommend at least one year out, the most popular months are July through early October and so those usually book up quickly.

What time at night can weddings stay at your venue?

We are ready to accommodate early birds or party people.

Do you offer accommodation options?

We don't have any lodging on site, but we do however have many lodging opportunities and styles within a 3 mile radius.

What other (if any) wedding services do you offer?

Oak Mountain offers full service catering, top shelf and customisable bar and beverage service, onsite coordination, referrals to our preferred vendors and so much more.
