I've always heard Canadians are warm people. So I was looking forward to spending a few days in Canada photographing Ellie and Josh's wedding at Leopard Frog Farm on Lake Ontario.

What I wasn't expecting was how thoroughly welcomed both of their families would make me feel.

It was disarming. And so perfectly clear to me why Ellie and Josh are such a perfect match.

Lovely people, from lovely families.

Postscript: In 2016 I very happily flew back to Canada to photograph Ellie's sister's wedding.
