Palm Beach in Sydney is a beautiful spot and if you want to combine the beach and your wedding, The Boathouse Palm Beach is a great venue to consider. Here I spoke to Communications Manager Ruby Flew at the Boathouse.

Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?

Uniquely located on Pittwater Peninsula, The Boathouse offers spectacular water views, and a private + tranquil setting for your special occasion. The food concept focuses on fresh local produce and seafood. The Boathouse Palm Beach was established in 2008. On average, we hold 70 weddings per year at The Boathouse Palm Beach.

Why should a couple consider your venue over other venues?

The Boathouse Palm Beach is an iconic destination in Sydney, and offers world class views of Pittwater. The unique waterside location is a truly special setting for a wedding or event.

What’s the first thing brides usually ask when they come and see you?

Usually brides enquire about capacity, ceremony location suggestions, and wet weather options.

What size functions can you hold/host?

We offer sit down weddings and events for 30 guests, and canapé weddings and events for 200 guests.

If relevant, can couples bring in their own caterer? What about alcohol?

The Boathouse offers a full food and beverage service, with various packages available. We do not allow guests to bring in their own caterer or alcohol.

Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

We offer ceremonies to be held in both the front garden and on the waterside deck. We also offer a Boathouse ceremony styling package, please enquire with our team.

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?

The Boathouse is styled with beachside interiors and fresh florals and produce. We also offer additional styling by The Boathouse. We welcome guests to bring in their own styling if they wish.

If your venue is outdoors is there a backup space in case of rain?

While the inside area and the upper back deck are protected from the weather, we can suggest marquee options for the lower back deck as a wet weather backup.

Could you give our readers some indication of the range of prices for hiring your venue?

Pricing varies depending on the style of the event and other details. Please enquire with our team for pricing.

How early do couples need to book you?

Guests are most welcome to book as close to or far out from their wedding or event as they would prefer. As dates book quickly, we recommend contacting our team to secure an ideal date for your wedding or event.

What time at night can weddings stay at your venue?

Weddings and events must conclude by 11pm.

Do you offer accommodation options?

We do not offer accommodation at The Boathouse Palm Beach, however our team can recommend local accommodation options.

What other (if any) wedding services do you offer?

The Boathouse Palm Beach is a part of The Boathouse Group. We offer two other wedding and event venues in Sydney, including Moby Dicks Whale Beach and The Boathouse Shelly Beach, Manly. Enquire with our team about The Boathouse Ice Cream Truck available to hire for ceremonies.
