We are a team of lifestyle and design experts who have been producing legendary weddings and events for clientele for over two decades. Our team is professionally trained with some of the industry’s top leaders. Be it a multi-cultural Indian wedding for 1000, an intimate inter-faith celebration, or a special event blending two families, our clients know that they are going to find a team of open-minded understanding planners.

What is a yacht charter? A charter aboard a luxury yacht is one of the most unique and special entertaining ideas available. It is hours aboard a superbly appointed private yacht enjoying fabulous cuisine prepared fresh on-board, being waited on by our attentive professional yacht staff, and viewing the gorgeous scenery of New York’s waterways. You select your menu, time and place and we take care of the rest!
How much will it cost? The price of a yacht charter will depend on the boat you select, the number of guests in your party, the menu you choose, and the city / marina where your charter takes place and the day of the week. Many of the costs are based "per person". We often email proposals with ALL the relevant fees so you know exactly what the “bottom line cost” is. Our charter planners will be more than pleased to work up a proposal for you based on this information.
What is the right Yacht for my charter? The choice of which yacht is perfect for your NY or NJ Yacht- Miami charter can be a difficult one! That's why we have sales staff at Yacht Events LLC. that are highly experienced event planners and deal with many types of luxury yachts. We'll ask you certain questions regarding the size of your group, the area you'd like to charter, your budget, and most importantly, what your (or your company's) objectives are. Then, we will assist you in selecting the right yacht for you!
What about all the details? We can take care of all that for you! All the extras such as ordering floral arrangements, selecting music (deejay or band?), arranging dockage, ordering casino entertainment, magicians, "murder mysteries", caricaturists, etc. can be taken care of by our staff. Just ask for more information!
What is included?
Captain, crew, waitstaff, bartenders, Linens, china, utensils, house centerpieces, House DJ and Karaoke are included in packages or as a separate a la carte pricing, menu, bar.
What kind of food is served? We have private onboard chefs that prepare menus for your charter! (All ethnic foods available, just ask!)
How many people are comfortable on a yacht? Our Yachts are certified for up to 1200 passengers. One thing to remember- people do not like to sit for very long on the yacht. Instead, guests will utilize the whole space, talking, enjoying the views, dancing etc. The experience is totally different from a traditional catering hall, though we can maintain certain traditions if we’re hosting a wedding or more formal event.
Can we bring our own caterer? Well it depends. Yacht Events LLC. Like a restaurant, earns income not only from the charter but also from Menu and Bar. We do not allow you to bring on your own alcohol because of liquor license laws. We have fabulous chefs who I are flexible. It’s better to take a menu package and add specialty dishes. If you require Kosher or Halal, we can provide specialize catering. So Yes, but typically the cost are less when using our in house catering.
How long do the charters last? Minimum sailing is 2 to 5 hours. We give you 1/2 hour prior to your cruising time to board and 1/2 hour to disembark. So events can extend as long as 6 to 7 hours, but it is not recommended.
Are cruising times set in stone? No. Since The Yacht is a private charter, you control the boarding and sailing times. Usually, weeknight cruises are 3-hours and weekend cruises are 4-5hours, but this is not set in stone. We like to end daytime charters by 4pm and evening charters begin after 5pm.
Decribe the flow on a Private Yacht? When people board, we have a beautiful stationary display of hors d’eouvres and the bars are open. We give you 30-minute boarding period, but we don’t leave the dock until you tell us. If we have passed hors d’eouvres, we begin passing them once the guests board. The cocktail hour takes place while we’re cruising. People are mingling and enjoying the views. Then, after an hour, we invite the guests to dinner. Menus can be as formal “Black Tie” to casual and fun BBQ menus. Dinner usually lasts about 1 hour. Afterwards, people can continue to stroll around or dance on our rooftop deck under the Stars. If it’s an evening charter, this all takes place while the sun begins to set and the lights of Manhattan slowly begin to glow.
Where does the Yacht cruise? We cruise down the Hudson River, around Battery Park, up the East River under the Bridges, to the Statue of Liberty and back, You will see the magical New York skyline including the Empire State Building, Intrepid Sea- Air Space museum, the Brooklyn Bridge, South Street Seaport and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge — the second-longest single-span suspension bridge in the world. Of course, the highlight of our cruise is the Statue of Liberty, one of the most celebrated landmarks in the world.
How early can I arrive to set up for my cruise? We allow vendors to come onboard for set up two hours before guests arrive. . If we’re picking up at a port other than our homeport, vendors typically board and set up at the homeport prior to the time the yacht leaves for pickup.
How do I reserve a date? To secure a date, we send you a contract and require a deposit by check, credit card, or wire transfer.

How far in advance should I make reservations? You are competing with every client who wants who prefers their event on a Saturday night. If you’re planning for a large group, call us as soon as possible. A few months to 2 years will make it easier to accommodate all of your preferences. Prime dates such as holidays, boat parades, summer weekends, and days when conventions are held locally often go very quickly so it is best to inquire early (as soon as you have a date confirmed for your event). A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your charter.
Do you have DJ entertainment, flowers, Mock Casino, etc? Yes, we have fabulous house DJays who will honor your music choices. Music is very important to set the mood of the charter, especially for weddings. This is a one stop shopping center. We can help you with Flowers, Photography, Mock Casino Gambling, Caricaturists, and Tarot Readers etc.
Can we get married on a yacht? Of course! If it’s nice weather, we host ceremonies outside on the top deck! Or, we set up an area on one of the interior decks. Guest’s board and we hold the ceremonies dockside or we can set sail and hold the ceremony as we cruise the Harbor.
Is parking available? Some marinas are better equipped with parking than others.
Do you sail in foul weather? Absolutely. Our yachts are climate-controlled for your comfort. We sail — rain or shine — year round.
Will I get seasick? The vast majority of our guests experience no discomfort at all as we do not leave the calm waters of the harbor. It’s highly unlikely, though some people are more sensitive. Our yachts are very large, and they operate in New York Harbor, on the Hudson River and the East River, which are all very calm bodies of water. You may feel a slight rockiness at the dock and where currents come together. If you are prone to motion-sickness it is suggested to bring motion-sickness precautions, such as motion-sickness wristbands, non-dramamine, or ginger candy.
ARE YOU REGULATED BY THE U.S. COAST GUARD?
Our vessels are all subject to inspections by the U.S. Coast Guards and our crew are all properly licensed. We also follow Marsec security guidelines. Should the Marsec security level be elevated, we may opt to increase security measures onboard our vessels to insure everyone’s safety.
ARE LIFE PRESERVERS ON BOARD?
Each vessel is 100% Coast Guard certified with life preservers and all required lifesaving equipment, including child life vests.
What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is not allowed in the dining room areas of our ships. However, smoking is permitted on the outer decks.
Is the ship handicap accessible?
The vessels are not all handicap accessible but wheelchair accessible. We have wheelchairs on the property and our operations crew will gladly assist anyone on and off the ships. Please contact Yacht Events LLC. reservations to request special assistance and ensure availability and appropriate assistance upon arrival.
Can I bring children on the cruise?
Yes, children are safe and welcome onboard.
Do we pass the Statue?
During the cruise, you'll witness dramatic views as you pass towering Manhattan skyscrapers en route to the majestic Statue of Liberty.
What is the cruise route?
Yacht Events LLC. Dinner cruises sail down the Hudson, around the tip of Manhattan, up the East River, under the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge and far enough north for guests to catch a glimpse of the pristine architecture of the United Nations. The ship then turns around and sets sail for the Statue of Liberty, then continues back up the Hudson to its dock. Other well‐known landmarks visible along the cruise include the World Financial Center and the shimmering art deco spires of the Empire State and Chrysler Building. Please note that the route may change for special events, e.g., July 4th. Please check the specific event page for details.
Are vegetarian or Gluten Free meals offered?
Yes, there are vegetarian and GF options offered on our menu. If you have any specific dietary needs, please inform the agent when making your booking so we can try to accommodate you. For special requests, please call 646-801-(BOAT) 2628, and press 1 to speak with an agent.
What size functions can you hold/host?
Our yachts for charter are perfect for any event from 20-1200 guests. We offer a diverse style to accommodate our client’s individual taste and preferences.
Can couples bring in their own caterer? What about alcohol?
At Yacht Events LLC, food and the exquisite execution of its service are our passion. Our approach is decidedly different.
What sets us apart is our unique and singular emphasis on “private dining”. Absent the daily distraction of restaurant/hotel service, our Executive Chef and his handpicked team are solely focused on crafting original menus and culinary experiences tailored to exceed the personal dining expectations of you and your guests.
With a farm to-table philosophy, our dining experiences are customized to your tastes and desires. Our culinary team eagerly awaits the opportunity to showcase an unforgettable event for you and your guests, drawing from the freshest local ingredients that our bountiful region has to offer, very often with a South Asian flare. Our service tells the rest of the story.
While the core of our signature menu is Hudson Valley cuisine, our culinarians have the flexibility to produce menus of a much broader spectrum and delight in customizing menus that reflect your ideas and personal style. Our more then 20 years experience producing Kosher to South Asian weddings. We do however allow outside caterers if the client prefers. Alcohol must be provided by the yacht venue.
Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?
Yes, both within the event space which includes all of the following: entry foyer, grand ballroom/formal dining room, and all upper deck levels. We do suggest less is more- as you do not want to block the incredible views.
If your venue is outdoors is there a backup space in case of rain?
It is always both indoor and out.
