Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?

The Bathers’ Pavilion opened in 1999 and was rebuilt from the vast old 1928 Council changing complex. It has become an iconic dining destination in Sydney. Serge Dansereau, Owner and Executive Chef, had the opportunity to design and rebuild the new Bathers’ Pavilion including a dedicated Function Room and Terrace to cater for our weddings. We have been holding wedding for 20 years now, and we hold up to 150-200 weddings per year

Why should a couple consider your venue over other venues?

Bathers’ would suit a couple who are looking for a venue away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We offer a bright, naturally lit, neutral coloured space that is contemporary yet sophisticated, including a large outdoor terrace with panoramic views over balmoral beach and out towards Sydney heads. The room lends itself to any colour palette which allows freedom of expression. Couples looking for the finest quality of food and service, with a relaxed feel yet knowing that they and their guests are fully catered and cared for, need look no further.

What’s the first thing brides usually ask when they come and see you?

Brides usually ask about availability and if they can decorate, which of course they can. Most questions that brides ask are really questions about the logistics. Most love the view and many have their heart set on us before they have even seen our venue.

What size functions can you hold/host?

We can hold functions of all shapes and sizes, anything from an intimate seated meal from 30 to 102, and a cocktail reception for up to 150

Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

Yes it can we usually suggest the terrace which is a great backdrop for the ceremony with views over Sydney harbour

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?

Yes, they are free to decorate as they like

If your venue is outdoors is there a backup space in case of rain?

Our outside terrace is attached to our indoor function space, which also features another large function area which we can use if it rains

Could you give our readers some indication of the range of prices for hiring your venue?

Our packages range from $95.00 per person for a cocktail lunch to $195.00 per person for a dinner with wine and canapes, but we are happy to put together a package that suits

How early do couples need to book you?

Usually a year out is when most couples start to book dates, but we already have some bookings for 2020… but we usually always have some key dates available up to a couple of months before the date

What time at night can weddings stay at your venue?

Our license to serve alcohol is until midnight all year round

Do you offer accommodation options?

We don’t offer accommodation but we have a range of hotels we work closely with who offer exceptional rates for our bridal couples

What other (if any) wedding services do you offer?

Bathers’ provides a seamless and personal internal service from your first inquiry, throughout the planning process up to and on the day itself. This is all part of the Bathers’ experience.

We will also work alongside stylists and planners booked by the Bride and Groom.
