Profile: Vasiliki Couture

For this profile I spoke to Vicky Chatzis , designer at Vasiliki Couture, a wedding dress designer based in Melbourne Brunswick.

NP: What makes you a good choice for brides looking for their wedding dress?

VC: They are not only bespoke dresses but I offer a personalized service where I work closely with each bride and offer unlimited fittings. I help my client source the relevant fabrics for the desired design and make the bride feel like she is part of the creative process and not just a number.

NP: Can you explain how your business is unique?

VC: As above.

NP: Whats a typical timeline in ordering a dress?

VC: 12-18 months in advance.

NP: Can you give our readers an indication of costs, perhaps for the simplest dress you have, up to the most intricate?

VC: Anywhere between 3.5k-8k.

NP: What is included in the price of gowns? For example how many alterations, fittings etc?

VC: Unlimited fittings at no extra cost along with applique sessions with the bride. Fabric, trims are included.

NP: Do people need to make an appointment to visit you?

VC: Yes.

NP: Do you have any limits on the number of people who can visit your store?

VC: Since my working space is small at this stage, I see one bride at a time.
