NP: What makes you a good choice for brides looking for their wedding dress?

EB: Honestly, we really care about our brides and want them to find their dream dress without 'sales pitch pressure'. It is all about how a bride feels in her dream dress and giving her the confidence to make the right decision, in her own time. There is a sea of dresses out there and we know our collections are beautiful and are of great quality and fit.

NP: Can you explain how your business is unique?

EB: We offer a smaller hand-picked collection of around 50 gowns. Brides have told us, it is less overwhelming and more enjoyable. Our boutique is also somewhat a more relaxed environment. Being approachable is really important given how nervous some brides are before they begin the wedding dress shopping experience.

NP: Whats a typical timeline in ordering a dress?

EB: Depending on the designer it can be anywhere from 14 weeks up to 6 months. We recommend a bride make her decision 9 to 12 months before her wedding date, so she has enough time to complete alterations to her dress if they are required.

NP: Can you give our readers an indication of costs, perhaps for the simplest dress you have, up to the most intricate?

EB: A bride can find a simple dress from $500 up to a designer gown worth $3,000

NP: What is included in the price of gowns? For example how many alterations, fittings etc?

EB: We sell Ready-to-wear gowns. When you receive your gown, you will then be guided through an alteration/fitting process with a seamstress. These alterations are not included in the price of our gowns. We advise brides to allow around $500 for alterations but please keep in mind, this is just a guide and there are many different factors that contribute to how much it will cost.

NP: Do people need to make an appointment to visit you?

EB: No, an appointment is not necessary, however we do advise an appointment is recommended for Saturdays as we can book out.

NP: Do you have any limits on the number of people who can visit your store?

EB: We don't place a limit, but from experience a bride will always find her appointment more enjoyable if she limits her entourage to 3 friends.

NP: What is your cancellation policy?

EB: We don't have a cancellation policy, we just have good faith that our brides will let us know in advance if they need to change their appointment time.

NP: What's the best way for brides to get in touch with you?

EB: Either email us at enquiries@empirebridal.com.au, Like us on Facebook and send us a private message or phone us on 03 9707 4888.
