Located in Manhattan in beautiful Fort Tryon Park, New Leaf is New York's most romantic landmark. For this profile I spoke to Director of Events Cathy Mosomillo.

Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?

New Leaf's spectacular fieldstone cottage was built by John D Rockefeller in the 1930s and features a cobblestone exterior, granite archways and slate roof.

New Leaf began hosting weddings in 2000 and produces 30 weddings per year.

New Leaf is New York's hidden gem is a historical landmark located in Fort Tryon Park featuring lush gardens, stunning Hudson River and Palisades views

Our farm to table menus feature locally sourced modern American fare.

What’s the first thing brides usually ask when they come and see you?

The first thing brides ask is do we host more than one event at a time and the reply is No, New Leaf creates a one of a kind experience tailored for each couple.

What size functions can you hold/host?

New Leaf accommodates 50-200 guests either seated or cocktail style.

Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

Ceremonies are usually held on Linden Terrace with sweeping views of the Hudson River, the George Washington Bridge and The Palisades

Indoor ceremonies are held in our tented patio and are truly romantic surrounded by Fort Tryon's lush gardens.

Our patio is tented in the event of inclimate weather, the bar and adjacent room are indoors

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?

Decor may be brought in with the exception of affixing any items to walls or doors as we are a landmark property and may not alter any of our structure.

Could you give our readers some indication of the range of prices for hiring your venue?

Weddings include a 5 hour open bar, cocktail reception followed by dinner and dancing. Prices begin at $180.00 per person, plus site fee, tax and service.

How early do couples need to book you?

Couples usually book 6-12 months in advance.

What time at night can weddings stay at your venue?

Weddings may be held until 12:30 am

Do you offer accommodation options?

New Leaf does not offer lodging but being near Manhattan there is a large amount of accommodation options to choose from.

New Leaf's carefully curated vendor list features New York premier floral designers, bands, DJ's, photographers, entertainment and lodging
