For many years now I've published a hugely popular blog post called the 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the World. It sure is popular - so much so that Google News picked it up.

While only 100 photographers globally make the list, there is a huge amount of artistic talent in NYC which can’t go unrecognised - here it is.

I've been asked how I determine these lists. Obviously it's subjective, but what am I looking for? To me any art, including wedding photography, should show technical excellence, depth and meaning beyond the surface, convey its message succinctly, and be original in some way. I feel like all of these photographers have achieved that. And that's why they're on the list.
