Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?

Eureka 89 is one of Melbourne’s most exclusive wedding venues. Centrally located in Southbank with breathtaking views and floor to ceiling windows looking across Melbourne CBD and Port Phillip Bay. Eureka 89 boasts high quality food and beverage options and assistance with planning and logistics from our expert event managers, your wedding will be one people won’t forget.

We have been in business for 10 years and do a high volume of weddings per year.

Why should a couple consider your venue over other venues?

With two beautiful event spaces and the ability to connect creating one large area, Eureka 89 has been designed with high-end events in mind; the Northern Point Room is a magnificent open space with an eye-catching wandoo wood wall and floor to ceiling windows. Alternatively the Southern Point Room is a more intimate space with its own incredible showpiece features, where the custom designed bar and stunning hand-cut glass chandelier truly enhance the luxurious atmosphere. Both come with the ability to set with dancefloors, entertainment and range of wedding essentials.

What’s the first thing brides usually ask when they come and see you?

Do we have a bridal room? – we have a small green room / holding room on the ground floor to do a ‘touch up’ before heading up to the 89th floor

What about Dietaries? - We cater to all dietaries individually

Where will the tables and dancefloor go? - Due to the unique configuration of each room we tailor floorplans to each wedding depending on guest numbers and the style that the bridal couple are after.

What size functions can you hold/host?

Northern Point Room
seated – 120 with dancefloor

Southern Point Room
Seated – 40
Cocktail – 110

If relevant, can couples bring in their own caterer? What about alcohol?

No we are a fully licenced venue with our own inhouse catering team.

Can the ceremony be held at your venue?

Yes small ceremonies can be held within the venue on the 89th floor.

Are the couple free to decorate as they like?

Yes as long as they do not mark any walls, etc (the normal T’s & C’s apply). We have very high sensitive fire alarms therefore we cannot have open flame and only allow battery ones.

Could you give our readers some indication of the range of prices for hiring your venue?

Lunch weddings start at $160p/p 3 course menu + 4 hour standard beverage package
Dinner weddings start at $210p/p Canapes plus 3 course menu + 5 hour standard beverage package
Cocktail style weddings start at $170p/p 8 canapes, 4 substantial, 2 dessert items + 5 hour standard beverage package

How early do couples need to book you?

Keys dates book fast with late November and December always booked out. However please always be in contact to check availability – we might be able to make something work! 😊

What time at night can weddings stay at your venue?

We are licenced until 1am with an event duration maximum length of 5-6 hours

Do you offer accommodation options?

We have partnerships with nearby accommodation venues, some located less than 50 metres away. Unfortunately, we do not have accommodation within the building

What other (if any) wedding services do you offer

Assistance with set up, pack up, list of preferred suppliers for styling and entertainment, photographers, celebrants, etc
