Venue Profile: Gotham Hall
Tell us about your venue. How long have you been holding weddings and how many weddings do you hold per year?
Originally constructed between 1922 and 1924 as The Greenwich Savings Bank, the building currently known and admired as Gotham Hall was built to serve as the bank’s headquarters with a prominent midtown address. Featuring an architectural design by York and Sawyer, the intersection of 36th Street and 6th Avenue was met with one of the most impressive spaces Manhattan has ever seen. The interior boasts Corinthian columns, granite walls, marble flooring, inscriptions and antique attributes symbolizing wisdom and commerce, and a domed ceiling with a 3,000 square foot stained glass skylight. Surviving decades and generations in American history, by 2002 this historical landmark transitioned into the most prestigious place to host a sophisticated affair.
Why should a couple consider your venue over other venues?
From elegant social events or corporate conclaves to nonprofit galas, you and your guests will appreciate the uncompromising attention to detail and extraordinary personal service that defines Gotham Hall events. Whether grand celebration or intimate gathering, our event planners will work with you to ensure your occasion is distinctive and remarkable. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an architectural masterpiece, one landmarked by New York City. Our circa 1924 venue is certain to make a lasting impression. As you pass through our filigree brass doors and step onto the inlaid marble floor, you will be awestruck by your surroundings.
Imagine your special occasion in such an extraordinary setting. Visualize sipping Champagne on our Mezzanine as you overlook your guests in our spectacular ballroom. Should you so desire, we can simultaneously host a smaller soiree in one of two oak-paneled rooms, complete with fireplaces and private restrooms.
